The Secret Magical Chicken Kingdom

My Immensely Colourful Chicken Land

“In my art, I seek to express a harmonious co-existence between man and nature.
It captures the enjoyment we share living in this culturally-diverse country. The
rural life, its varied architectural styles, its people, landscape and even animals are
celebrated by the naive strokes of my painting.”

Artist: Zuzila Zain
A full-time artist, Zuzila’s vocation has become her full-time passion as well. The simple life of the kampong, children and nature are just some of her favourite things to paint. Dubbed the ‘people’s artist’, she aids various NGOs and shares her insights by teaching children the joys of art.

Cock-a-hoop
“The influence of pop art is very apparent in my works. The image of the chicken is simplified and stylized using an array of colours. Standing as a prominent symbolic icon, it is seen here personifying the strength and versatility of our society’s current
social and economic workings.”

Time out

Artist: Mohd Fazli bin Othman
Fazli has his roots in Alor Setar, Kedah. With many art galleries and exhibitions under his belt, he is certainly not your everyday artist. Crowned at the 2007 Young Contemporary Competition with the Audience Choice Award only speaks of his distinction amongst the people and his peers.

Fruits of Passion

Flavours of My Heart

“The thoughts, experiences and expressions of my subjects are captured through
the textures of a mixed-medium. Using a combination of common everyday
objects and mixed with a mosaic of bright colours and hand-coloured photography
enlivens the spontaneous nature of children as portrayed through my collages.”

Artist: Queenie Chow
For Queenie, painting cats and little girls are her way of expressing the happy and simple way of life, brought about by youth’s innocence. Of course, such images reflect upon her jolly personality as well. But there’s more than meets the art with this lass from Bentong, Pahang.

“+clickproject is a design consultancy hub
where the best of artists and designers gather to inspire
and be inspired. It is where art is collected. It is where
ideas and creations are expressed freely. In this series,
our constant search for breakthrough creative solutions comes to life in the art forms.”
