It has come to our attention that rumours have been circulating about our restaurants not being halal. The rumour was about the term, “bristle” featured on the brushes of a photography section in our dine-in menu. With this, Nando’s has taken the liberty to search on Wikipedia on the definition of “bristle” and the results are as follows:
Definition 1:
Definition 2: Based on the two definitions given above, we believe that there may have been confusion between Definition 1 and Definition 2. In the Nando’s context, “Bristle” is “The brush section of items such as brushes, brooms, toothbrushes etc” and NOT Definition 2 . Please note that all brushes currently used at Nando’s restaurants are made from 100% nylon, Type Stylon 6 (product type 116008) by Matfer.
